Additional Information

- 1) we have the option to go inside a cliff dwelling ONLY when in season (dates are subject to change annually but typically run May 18 to October 15)
- 2)Tickets to go inside Cliff Palace must be purchased ahead of time on your behalf, once tickets are secured private tours will be offered the Ranger Led tickets first on a first come first booked basis.
- 3)Tickets to Cliff Palace are not 100% guaranteed UNTIL we have them in hand and you select to purchase the tickets and add on to your tour.

- 5) Over 90% of our tours are done in the park WITHOUT a ranger-led ticket. Although tickets are hard to get and sell out very fast we find this option to be only a very slight enhancement to the tour.
- 6) Health Warning must be followed:
- All tours are appropriate for well-prepared hikers but are strenuous, so please consider your physical health before choosing a tour/hike, especially if you have heart or respiratory problems or other physical difficulties. Elevations range between 7,000 and 7,500 feet (2134m , and 2286 m) above sea level.
We suggest wearing sturdy shoes or boots and bring plenty of water. Your safety depends on your good judgment, adequate preparation, and constant attention.
Children must be able to walk the extent of the trails and climb all ladders on their own without difficulty. All infants must be carried in backpacks while on tours and adults carrying children in backpacks must be able to maintain mobility and balance.
- Will we “see” a cliff dwelling? Absolutely! We will see several cliff dwellings and many other sites throughout the National Park.
- Can we get picked up at our hotel? Yes, we can pick you up within 5 miles of Durango, Co, or along the way to Mesa Verde National Park.

- Is the gratuity/tip included? No, it is customary to tip 18%-22% if you have enjoyed your experience with your guide.
- Will there be restroom breaks? YES! There are several restroom options within the National Park. Your guide will let you know when you are approaching a restroom stop and how long in between the next stop. Typically not more than 1 hour from a restroom.
- What kind of transportation/vehicle will we be in? We have several options for our tours and your guide will take the best option for that day. We have 12 passenger vehicles, minivans, suburban, and Jeeps that we can use. We do NOT take a bus.
- Do we hike or climb ladders? Every private tour is specially curated for each guest. We will discuss with you what you and your group would like to do and create the best itinerary. Not one private tour is the same. If you have ANY mobility issues do NOT select a ranger tour add-on into Cliff Palace. We can see so much of the park without having to climb ladders.
