New in 2017, Durango Rivertrippers & Adventure Tours offers Dolores River trips!
This special trip is for a limited time only so plan your trip now!
Durango Rivertrippers & Adventure Tours has been running this river since the early 1980s. The Dolores River is the longest flowing river canyon in the U.S., second only to the Grand Canyon. The Dolores is dammed at the McPhee Reservoir. Every few years, limited releases provide access to the waterways. 2017 is one of those years – so take advantage of this rare opportunity and sign up for a whitewater rafting trip today!
Flowing through unspoiled scenery, the Dolores offers beautiful views of red sandstone cliffs and towering ponderosa pines. This one-of-a-kind rafting tour traverses multiple landscapes, journeying through the alpines into the high desert. Along its route, you will discover ancient Anasazi ruins and the natural beauty of the Colorado wilderness, still as pristine as it was in the days of the Spanish explorers who knew the Dolores as the River of Our Lady of Sorrows.
The Dolores River offers class II-IV rapids, including the infamous Snaggletooth rapid, making this run exciting for first timers and experienced paddlers.
